At The Focal Point Optometrist a comprehensive eye examination will investigate your sight and how your eyes team, move and focus. The health of the eye will also be assessed with routine testing for conditions such as glaucoma, macula degeneration and the complications to eye health from conditions such as diabetes or raised blood pressure. Visual Field analysis can also be done to check how well the peripheral parts of the eyes are functioning.

As a new client of the practice your initial consultation will take around 45mins.

Medicare will provide varying rebates on your initial consultation depending on the testing that is required for your eyes and when you were last seen by an optometrist. Contact lens consultations may also be claimable from Medicare and are assessed by Medicare on an individual basis. All subsequent testing at the practice provides you with an 85% rebate of the consultation fees from Medicare.

Vision Processing Testing and Vision Therapy programming fees are not claimable through Medicare. Please contact the practice for current fees and charges.
